I have tried 2 different types of CDI's along with a better Carb and air intake to spice things up a bit, however the wiring to the CDI only has 5 wires going to it. The 4 pin is full and the 2 pin only has one wire. Everytime I try to start my scooter, the 7amp fuse on the Negative return side to the battery blowes. Are there 5 pin CDI's out there or has the shop I bought it from done something to the wiring harness? I ended up replacing the carb because the shop (or the manufacturer- Lance) put JB weld all over the screws including the air/fuel mix adjustment screw. I happy with the performance that I'm getting from the better carb and air filter but would be curious to see how much more I could get. I'm guessing I'm done with the top end now and will start playing around with the CVT and clutch for a little more go.

Most of the Shad cases are very good quality, and one of the bigger models should fit your needs. Usually, they mount up pretty easily to the rack that comes on a Cabo (which I believe is the same as my PCH). Yes, they are a bit pricey, but very reliable and they have a large variety of sizes to choose from:

Can anyone out there recommend a brand, website or product name of a rear mounted 2 helmet trunk that has mounting hardware that WORKS with the Lance Cabo50 and does NOT require a fab shop to install it.

Also looking for good suggestions on exhaust Pipes and other mods specific to the Lance. Youtube is full of Tao Tao or Honda Ruckus videos.

Keep us informed on the performance differences between the two scooters. I have a PCH 150 and the thought of the 200i version intrigues me....very tempting, but I would have to figure out how to justify it to SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed)  ;)

I've owned a bunch of scoots from Hondas to china scoots and all have had there highs and lows.

I use my bikes as I would a car on a daily basis. At the moment I have a Kymco Downtown 300, best in its class IMO. Untill recently I also had a SYM RV200 that was just a beast for its displacement. It's use was so close to the Kymco that it just didn't get enough ride time so off it went.

But I miss small wheels and lite weight. Sure I can say I can "flick" the DT 300 around like a smaller scoot buts it's not the same and I'm not as strong as I once was. Injury has left the legs severely comprimised and I have a real fear of dropping the DT at a light and not being able to pick it up, lol.

I don't want to be that guy!

When I had the house in NJ I kept a 2010 Cali Classic 125 at the front door. All that thing did was run, for 10,000 miles when I sold it along with the house. It's still going strong. That scoot was the best bang for the buck I've gotten from a new ride.

So with that I've ordered a 2017 Cali Classic 200i. The 125 would drag me along at 57 mph/gps so I'd imagine the 200 has a true 65 top end should it be needed. It will also work well for two up around the beach.

Fingers crossed it's as good to me as the 125 was.

waiting for a slightly longer belt than 799x19x28. I am trying out 818x19x28. It's going to be better but there is also an 828 x 20 x 30.
Request for an eventual update on how the 818x19x28 and 828x20x30 belts perform . . in comparison to the 799x19x28.

Related variator discussion.

Still have no idea if this is the correct sizes. No luck so nailing down the correct size.
